The Civil Service Examination will be conducted on 26th May 2024 16-06-2024 (exam posponed due to lok sabha election) for prelims. candidates who have applied for the CSE 2024 can download their hall ticket 10 days before the exam date. Qualified individuals will be further called for the Main examination. Candidates must reach the examination center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each session of the civil services examination.

Follow these basic steps to download the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card from the official website –

Step 1: First of all, visit upsconline.nic.in

Step 2: Then look for the “e-Admit Card for Civil Services Preliminary Examination” link and click on it

Step 3: On the next web page, click on the “Download” link

Step 4:  Select the “CISF” or “Roll Number” option

Step 5: Then enter your CISF or Roll number and select DOB

Step 6: Enter the code and then click on the “Submit” button

Step 7: UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card will appear on your screen

Step 8: Check the details in the UPSC CSE Admit Card 2024 and then download it for your examination.

Things Banned in the Examination Center

Question: How many questions are there in the Civil services preliminary examination?

Answer: According to the UPSC CSE Exam Pattern, there are 100 questions in the GS Paper and 80 questions in the CSAT paper.

Question: Is there any negative marking in the Prelims CSE Examination?

Answer: Yes, there will be a deduction of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer.
