CMAT 2024 Admission to MBA/PGDM
CMAT is a moderately difficulty MBA entrance exam conducted in the country. In the CMAT examination, no test taker is disqualified even if a person scores zero marks. Through a CMAT score, candidates can be admitted to AICTE-approved management institutions. Also, one of the important benefits of applying for CMAT is, that by the time you appear for the Common Management Aptitude Test, candidates have already appeared in the top Management entrance examination including CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT, and SNAP. So, you don’t have to put extra effort into your preparation; a revision will do.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria
- For Executive PGDM – Graduation degree in any discipline along with five years of minimum experience.
- For PGCM – Graduate in any discipline
- For MBA and PGDM – Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Final-year students can also apply
- Must be an Indian Citizen
- For students applying for CMAT 2024, there is no age limit.

CMAT Admission Process 2024
The selection process based on CMAT 2024 will be done by each college separately. The basic steps of the CMAT Selection process are as follows –

Step 4: Apply separately to preferred MBA Colleges according to the score
Step 5: GD/PI rounds according to the Institutes and admission fee payment
Seat Reservation
- 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates
- 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates
- 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) NonCreamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List
- 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General – EWS) candidates
- Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability
CMAT Selection Process
After the entrance examination, NTA will release the final result for qualified candidates. Based on the CMAT 2024 Result, a merit list will be prepared. Further, the eligible candidates have to visit the respective institutes for which they have applied, to complete the selection procedure. The institutes will conduct the Group Discussion round followed by a Personal Interview/Written Ability Test. Based on these GD, PI, and WAT, the respected institutes will prepare a final list of selected candidates.
CMAT Exam Pattern
- Duration of exam: 3 Hours; No Individual Time limit to attempt the question paper. Candidates can attempt any question from any section within the overall time limit
- Total Question: 100 questions; Objective Type
- Medium: English Only
- Difficulty level: Easy to moderate
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer is awarded a +4 Mark.
- For a wrong answer, there is a negative marking of -1 mark

Procedure to Fill Online CMAT Application Form 2024
- To fill out the online CMAT application, candidates have to first go to the official website cmat.nta.nic.in
- Then on the homepage, candidates have to click the link for CMAT 2024 Registration.
- Enter the details and first register yourself for CMAT 2024.
- Then you have to fill out the online application form and upload the documents
- After this, candidates have to Pay the application fee using a Debit Card /Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI and keep the proof of fee payment safe.
- At last, a confirmation page will be generated by the system, confirm it and your application form will be submitted online for CMAT 2024

CMAT Admit Card 2024
Candidates whose application forms will be filled out completely in the given time will be provided a CMAT Admit Card through an online process. Individuals have to visit the official website to download their CMAT Admit Card one or two weeks earlier the exam date. Complete exam information like test center, test date, timing, important instructions, etc will be provided in the CMAT Call Lettre. You have to check all the details in the CMAT Hall Ticket carefully. If you have any error in the mentioned information, do contact the concerned authority before the exam date.
Documents Required in CMAT 2024 Exam Center
- Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen.
- Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
- Personal transparent water bottle.
- ID Proof
- Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
CMAT Answer Key 2024
First, the provisional CMAT Answer Key will be released on the official web portal. For this, candidates can challenge the declared CMAT 2024 Answer Key on the same day. The window for the challenge will be activated for 2-3 days before the deadline. Candidates have to pay Rs. 200 per question to raise the answer key. Once paid, the fee cannot be refunded in any case. After the deadline, the CMAT Final Answer Key will be released.
CMAT Result
The result of CMAT 2024 will be announced by the NTA on the official website. Candidates can check their scorecard and All India Rank (AIR), sectional score as well as the total score. CMAT Results will be based on the final answer key. No challenges will be accepted for the answer key after the declaration of the final CMAT result. Candidates cannot apply for rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totaling/ rechecking/re-evaluation/re-totaling of the CMAT result 2024.
CMAT 2024: Tie-Breaking Criteria
If a person obtained the same CMAT Score, then the individuals will be listed in chronological (ascending) or as per their DOB. Also, in the merit list, candidates with the same score will be issued the same merit but the next person’s merit will be increased by the same number. For example, both individuals will be provided Merit 2 and the next individual will be given Merit 4, not 3.
Process to calculate CMAT percentile
CMAT Percentile will be calculated based on the total number of candidates appearing for the exam, individual rank, and the percentile obtained by the candidates.
The formula for the CMAT percentile calculator is:
Percentile (P) = ((N-Your Rank)/N) x 100
Where N = Total Number of Candidates who appeared for CMAT and P = Percentile
CMAT Cutoff
the cut-off marks in the minimum score that candidates must have to qualify for the CMAT 2024. Candidates who get the marks within the cutoff range will be qualified further for the next step which is Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds by the score accepting colleges.
CMAT score vs percentile: Year-wise
Candidates have to score from 251 to 340 marks (95 to 99.99 percentile) out of 400 total maximum marks. The percentile of top colleges JIM< JBIMS, SIMSREE, etc are expected to be from 95 to 99+ overall percentile.

Question: Is Aadhaar mandatory for CMAT 2024?
Answer: The Aadhaar number is only one of the types of identification. It is not mandatory. Candidates may also enter their Ration Card number, Passport number, Bank Account number, or any other valid Government identity number.
Question: Can I cancel the application submitted for CMAT 2024?
Answer: Once submitted, the online CMAT Application form cannot be withdrawn or canceled.
