AIMA MAT 2024: Registration Started for the February Exam

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance test that is approved by Govt. of India, Ministry of Education. It is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for granting admission into MBA/PGDM/MMS programs and other allied courses. AIMA MAT score has a wide acceptability by hundreds of Business Schools and University Departments in the Country.



MAT is administered 4 times a year; February, May, September, and December. MAT is the only MBA entrance exam in the country that offers the option to appear in IBT (Internet Based Test), PBT (Paper-Based Test) and CBT (Computer Based Test). Every year lakhs of students appear for AIMA MAT. MAT Score is acceptable even to certain other Institutes for considering admission for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma programmes, subject to specific cut-off marks and other admission parameters.

AIMA MAT Exam Types

Type-1: Paper Based (PBT)

  • Conducted from 10 AM to 12.30 PM in paper pen mode at test centres
  • Answers to be marked on paper sheet
  • Moderate Difficulty level Exam
  • Total questions are 200

Type-2: Computer Based (CBT)

  • Computer Based MAT exam (CBT) is held at Exam Centers
  • Conducted in different slots
  • Exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Moderate Difficulty Level Exam
  • The total questions are 200

Type-3: Remote Proctored Internet Based Test

  • Exam in a longer Testing Window of one to three weeks
  • Total number of exams are three
  • Exams can be taken from home
  • Test duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Can appear in one IBT or two IBT exams with an extra fee
  • IBT is conducted in morning and evening slots
  • Exam pattern is the same as PBT and CBT exams

AIMA MAT Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline are eligible to appear for AIMA MAT 2024. Final-year students of Graduate Courses can also apply. There is no age limit for applying candidates.

AIMA MAT Application Fees

THE AIMA MAT registration fee of Rs. 2100 needs to be paid online mode through a Credit Card/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Paytm Wallet. Since candidates are allowed to appear in more than 2 modes of MAT exams in a session, the application fee varies accordingly. Candidates have to pay extra Rs. 1200 in addition to Rs. 2100.

AIMA MAT 2024: MODE OF TEST

Candidate can take the Management Aptitude Test as

  • Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) or
  • Paper Based Test (PBT) or
  • Computer Based Test (CBT) or
  • Paper Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (PBT+IBT) or
  • Double Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT+IBT) or
  • Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (CBT+IBT) or
  • Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT)

Note:

Besides this, you can also opt for an additional mode of the test (e.g. IBT+IBT, PBT+CBT, IBT+PBT, IBT+CBT) by paying an extra fee of Rs.1200/- in addition to Rs. 2100/-.

Candidates opting for additional tests will have the benefit of selecting an additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.

 

AIMA MAT Exam Pattern

AIMA MAT 2024 exam will be conducted in 3 modes- IBT, CBT, and PBT. According to the AIMA MAT, the question will be divided into five distinct sections – Language Comprehension, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical skills, and Indian and Global Environment.

  • Total Question: Each section will consist of 40 MCQs, thus total questions will be 200.
  • Duration of examination: 150 minutes.
  • Marking: For every correct option, candidates will get one mark
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
  • Medium of Exam: English

Procedure to Fill Online MAT Registration Form

Step 1: Register with MAT

  • Candidates have to first visit the official website to apply online

  • Then fill out the registration form first, available on the homepage.
  • After filling the information, click on the ‘Register’ tab
  • A verification link will be sent to the filled email address.
  • Click on the “Verify” button.
  • After registration, click on the “Login for MAT”

  • Enter your email and password. Click on the “Login” tab

Step 2: Test Option and MI Choices

  • MAT Application Form will appear on your screen.
  • Choose the mode of the test. You have to select at least one and maximum of two test modes
  • Further, upload the photograph (recent passport size) and signature in the prescribed format.
  • Make MI Choice.
  • Candidates who opt for double test modes will benefit for selecting an additional 2 MIs for sending their score
  • After the selection of free MI selection, candidates need to pay Rs.100 to select each extra MI.

Step 3: Make Payment

  • Now you have to pay the application fee through online mode

Step 4: Complete Registration

  • Candidates have to fill in their personal details, qualifications, experience details, and other additional information

  • You can preview the form before submitting the application form and can take printouts of the same for their record.

AIMA MAT Admit Card

Candidates who are going to appear for the MAT 2024 exam can download their hall ticket from the official website on the scheduled dates. It is important to download the AIMA MAT Admit Card as without the call letter you will not allowed to sit in the examination. To download the AIMA MAT Admit Card, you have to use the registration number/password/DOB.
