UPSC ISS IES Qualification

Individuals must have the following educational qualifications to apply for IES/ISS vacancies –

Indian Economic Service

Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a University incorporated by of an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

Indian Statistical Service

Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.

UPSC IES ISS Age Limit

• Minimum age – 21 years
• Maximum age – 30 Years as of 01st August 2024 (Relaxation in upper age will be given to the candidates from reserved categories)
• Age Relaxation for reserved categories is as below
  • SC/ ST: 05 years
  • OBC: 03 years
  • Defence Services Personnel: 03 years
  • Ex-servicemen: 05 years
  • ECOs/ SSCOs: 05 years
  • PwD Candidates: 10 years

Application Fee

• For Male candidates from General/ OBC categories: Rs. 200/-
• For Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Nil

Application fees can be paid using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or SBI internet banking before 30-04-2024 till 18:00 Hours. Individuals can also pay the fee in cash at any branch of SBI using Pay-in-slip before 29-04-2024 at 23:59 Hours.

UPSC ISS IES syllabus 2024

यूपीएससी आईईएस/आईएसएस परीक्षा का पाठ्यक्रम विविध प्रकृति का है। जारी नोटिफिकेशन के अनुसार व्यक्तियों को अलग-अलग विषयों का अध्ययन करना होगा। सामान्य अंग्रेजी (General English) और सामान्य अध्ययन (General Studies) का पाठ्यक्रम आईईएस और आईएसएस दोनों परीक्षाओं के लिए समान है।

General English	Individuals have to write an essay. Other questions will be set to check the understanding of English, word power etc. Generally, passage will be precis or summary type.

स्टेप 1 – पोर्टल पर नया पंजीकरण करें

• उम्मीदवारों को आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर जाना होगा।
