NATA 2024 Notification: Apply for the Architecture Exam from 1st March

Council of Architecture is conducting NATA 2024 in a new format keeping in mind the convenience and creativity of the students and keeping with the pace of current trends, and challenges faced by the Architecture Profession. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is the first step for those who wish to join the Architecture profession. It is a test that is specially designed to assess the aptitude of the students towards the architecture profession. The final admission will be carried out only by the concerned authorities of the respective State based on valid NATA Score and eligibility criteria prescribed by the CoA and the concerned authorities.

NATA Educational Qualification

NATA Syllabus 2024

Drawing and Composition Test
A1 – Composition and Color	Creating suitable compositions for various situations and coloring them appropriately. Re-arranging various shapes in visually appealing manner and coloring it suitably.
A2 -Sketching & Composition (Black and White)-25 Marks	Ability to draw, visualize, depict a situation, involving buildings / its components, people, environment, products with an understanding of scale, proportions, textures, shades and shadow etc.
A3 – 3D Composition-30 Marks	Creating interesting 3D composition for the given situation using the provided kit.
PART-B
Visual Reasoning	Ability to understand and reconstruct 2D and 3D composition, knowledge about its composition and technical concepts.
Logical Derivation	Ability to decode a situation, composition, context and generate meaning. Understanding the minute information hidden in a particular situation and drawing conclusions.
G.K., Architecture & Design	General awareness of architecture and design, current issues, recent episodes, etc., Knowledge about important buildings, historical progression, innovation in materials and construction technology.

NATA 2024: Do’s and Don’t

Dos

1. Read the online instructions carefully before filling out the NATA 2024 Application Form online.
2. Specify all personal information, address, and DOB correctly.
3. Remember the user name, security question/answer, and password.
4. Choose the city of the Test center carefully.
5. Upload color photograph and signature of specified size only.
6. Retain a copy of the Confirmation Page.
7. Follow the schedule as mentioned in the brochure and Appointment Card.
8. Carry a printed copy of the NATA Hall Ticket to the examination hall
9. Carry pencils, erasers, sharpeners, dry colors, and scale up to 15 cm.
10. Only candidates with an Appointment Card shall be granted entry into the examination hall.

NATA 2024: Don’ts

1. Don’t divulge your username, security question/answer and password to anybody.
2. Don’t upload poor-quality scanned photographs and signatures.
3. Don’t send duly filled-in Confirmation Page or any document through post to CoA office.
4. Don’t spoil the hard copy of the downloaded Appointment card.
5. Don’t bring a blade, Mobile Phone, Calculator, or any other electronic gadget inside the Examination Center
6. Don’t bring any instruments inside the NATA 2024 Examination hall.

Procedure to fill out NATA Application Form

The filling of the application form is in three steps: filling out personal details, document uploading, and fee payment. Candidates can follow these steps to apply online for NATA Application Form –

• Go to the official website of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture

• Then click on the NATA Brochure 2024 tab and go through the information
• After ensuring the eligibility come back to the homepage and click on the NATA Registration Tab
• First, fill in the personal details, email address etc.

• A verification link will be sent to the respected email ID
• Verify your email and create your password.
• Candidates have to select a question and answer at this stage that will be used in the future if you forget your password,
• Then log in to the website using your email id and create password
• After this, candidates have to upload their recent passport-size photograph in jpg/jpeg format

• After uploading the documents, candidates have to pay the application fees
• Upon successful payment, a confirmation page is generated.

NATA Modification Form

Those who intend to make any correction in data filled by them in their respective NATA application form will be allowed to do so through the correction window which will be made available only during the designated period.

NATA 2024 Admit Card

For each candidate, a NATA appointment card will be generated on the official web portal according to the schedule indicating the session, allotted test center, and appointment number. You have to download the NATA admit card and bring it to the test center with one original photo identity card- Voter Card/PAN card/Aadhar Card/Driving license, or Passport, as filled by the candidate in the NATA Application Form.

NATA Result

The NATA Result will be declared by the CoA on the official website. In case the candidate appears in multiple tests, all the previous scores shall appear on the scorecard. The best score obtained in all attempts shall be taken as the valid score for NATA 2024.

NATA Qualifying Marks

A Candidate will not qualify for NATA-2024 unless all three conditions mentioned below are satisfied. The qualifying marks for NATA 2024 will be as follows –

• A minimum of 20 marks must be secured in PART A
• A minimum of 30 marks must be secured in PART B
• Overall qualifying marks for NATA 2024 shall be 70 marks out of 200 as an aggregate of Part A and Part B.
