CDS Result 2024: Score Calculation Process
The Commission will calculate the CDS Score by following the following procedure –
- +1 for every correct response
- -1/3 for every wrong response
- If more than one answer is marked by individuals then it will be treated as wrong response
CDS Selection Procedure
The selection of eligible individuals for Combined Defence Services Examination will be based on –
- Written Exam
- SSB Interview/Personality Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
- Final Merit Test
UPSC CDS SSB Interview
Individuals who will clear the CDS examination will be eligible to appear for the Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview. The CDS SSB Interview for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA) will be conducted for 300 marks and the CDS SSB Interview of 200 marks will be conducted for the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). Individual’s performance in the SSB Interview will be judged by three officers –
- A Psychologist,
- An Interviewing Officer (IO), and
- A Group Testing Officer (GTO)
There is no separate weightage for each test of the interview. The CDS SSB Interview can be classified into two stages:
