OSSSC has invited online applications from suitable and eligible candidates with having required qualification and age group for filling up 33 vacant position of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) Science (CBZ). | Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) Science (CBZ) | (I) The candidate must have at least Bachelors’ Degree in Science/
B. Tech./BE with two school subjects (school subjects as defined in the proviso hereunder) from a recognized university having minimum 45% marks in aggregate for SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex- Servicemen candidates and minimum 50% marks in aggregate for candidates other than SEBC/SC/ST/PWD/Sportsperson/Ex-Servicemen candidates and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/3 year integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed./2 year B.Ed (Special Education) courses from any NCTE recognized institution. In any case the candidates must have passed the Bachelor’s Degree with any two school subjects offered as Pass / Honours / Elective/ Optional/ Compulsory subject out of the following : – Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Biotechnology. (II) The candidate must have passed Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) |
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 38 years as on 1st January 2024. Date of birth as recorded in the HSC certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha or equivalent certificate issued by any recognized Board/Council/Indian University shall only be accepted. |
Language Qualification –
A Candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have –
(a) passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or
(b) passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects. or
(c) passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class -VII or above from a school or Educational Institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or Central Government. or
(d) passed a test in Odia in M.E, School Standard conducted by the school & Mass Education Department.
Age Relaxation –Age Relaxation in upper limit will be given to only reserved categories of permanent resident of Odisha with having Odisha State Domicile certificate as per government rules and regulations. Note – The Candidates seeking age relaxation as per Govt. Guidelines will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at any subsequent stage of the selection process, as required by the OPSC.

Reservation and Relaxation –
Reservation & Relaxation will be given to only reserved & Special categories (SC/ST/SEBC/ Women/ Sports Person /EXSM/ PWBD etc. ) of permanent resident of Odisha with having Odisha State Domicile certificate as per Odisha government rules and regulations. Reservation guidelines as laid down by Government of India from time to time for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWBD etc. shall be followed. Candidates claiming reservation under reserved categories should submit certificate as per the Govt. Prescribed format issued from the competent certifying authority.

Exam /Date /Centre – The date, time and venue of Preliminary / Main Examination will be notified later in the Commission’s website. The Candidates are advised to visit the website of the commission at regular intervals and also keep track of different notices to be published by the Commission to know about the detailed programme of the examination.
Provisional Admission letters, containing intimation about the date, time and venue for the Preliminary / Main Examinations shall be uploaded on the commission website well ahead of the date of the Examination. Each Eligible Candidate shall have to download his/ her Admission Letter by using his/ her User ID & Password before the date of examination by visiting the commission’s website and clicking the relevant option link.

(A) Stage -I – Preliminary Examination (MCQ type in OMR/CBRT Mode)
- Two Paper – Paper I & Paper II
- Paper – I – General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Arithmetic, Reasoning Ability, English, Computer Literacy
- Paper II – Pedagogy, Educational Management, Policies & Evaluation

(B) Stage -II – Main Examination (MCQ type in OMR/CBRT Mode)

- There shall be negative marking in Preliminary and Main Examination. one third of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks in Main Examination, For ST/SC/PWD/EXSM/Sports Person category of candidates shall be 30% and for all other category candidates, shall be 35%.
