Odisha High Court Recruitment 2024 Notification Details

Odisha High Court has invited online applications from suitable and eligible candidate for filling up the vacant position of Translator post. Recruitment related details are given below –

Odisha High Court Eligibility Criteria –

Translator	A Candidate should have completed Graduate degree from a reputed and recognized University or other qualification having English / Odia as an Honours subject with adequate knowledge in Computer Application.	Candidate should be more than 21 years of Age and must be below than 32 years of Age as on 29/08/2024, i.e. He / She must not have been born earlier than 30/08/1992 and not later than 28/08/2003.

Age Relaxation – Age Relaxation in upper limit will be given to reserved categories only as per government rules and regulations. Candidates who are related to SC,ST, SEBC Category & Women will get 05 years of upper age relaxation. PwDs will get 10 years relaxation in upper age limit in their respective category. Ex-service men will get  upper age relaxation as per rules.  check official notification for more information about age relaxation.

Reservation and Relaxation – 

• Reservation & Relaxation will be given to only reserved categories  Candidates as per government rules and regulations.

Selection Process – Selection will be made on the basis of following stages –

• Preliminary Examination /Test
• Main Written Examination
• Computer Application Test
• Viva Voce Test

Exam Pattern – 

(I) Preliminary Test –

Total Marks – 150 Marks

Total Duration – 02 hours

Total Number of Question – 150 (Objective type questions with Multiple choice questions)

Negative marking – 0.5 (Half)

Subjects – General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.

Mains Written Test – 

• The exam is of Objective type except for English
• Subjects – Language Test (English & Odia – Qualifying in Nature), Translation

Computer Application Test – 

• The test will be qualifying in nature.
• The duration of this test is one hour
• Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks in the test to be qualify in this test.

Viva Voce Test – 

Candidates who are selected from the written exam stages will be called in for the Viva-Voce test. This round will be conducted for 40 marks. Marks secured in this test shall be added to the marks obtained in the Written Examination to prepare a final merit list. The names of the candidates will not be included in the Merit List, unless such candidates secure a minimum of 40% of marks in the Viva-Voce Test.
