JEE Mains Admit Card 2024: Available From 25th Jan
The JEE Mains exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission in UG Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at
- NITs,
- IIITs,
- other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and
- Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments.
JEE (Main) is also a qualifying test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to various IITs. JEE Paper 2 is conducted for students to get admission in B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.
Also, IIT JEE Main Examination is being conducted in 02 sessions for admissions in the next academic session. JEE Main 2024 Session 1 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) will be held between 27 January and 01 February 2024 and Session 2 will be held between 01 April and 15 April 2024. Paper 2A and Paper 2B (B. Arch and B. Planning) are also being held twice a year (January and April 2024).

Procedure to download JEE Mains Admit Card 2024
To download the IIT JEE Mains Admit Card, candidates have to follow these simple steps –
- Visit the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in and click on the available JEE Admit Card link for Mains Examination i.e.
“Download the admit card for the B.E./B.Tech exam”
- Enter your login credentials (Application Number, Date of Birth) and select the course
- Enter the security pin and then click on “Submit” button
- After this, the JEE IIT Main Hall Ticket will appear on your screen
- Download the same and keep it safe for the examination.

The method of resolving ties Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Papers is as follows in descending order:
- NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
- NTA score in Physics/Aptitude Test, followed by
- NTA score in Chemistry/Drawing Test/Planning Based Questions, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by

JEE Mains Admit Card 2024: Forgot Password?
If you forgot your password, then by following these steps you can download your JEE Main Call Letter:
- On the homepage, candidates have to click on the JEE Mains 2024 Admit Card Link.
- Then click on the “Forgot Password” link
- Answer the previously selected security question.
- A code will be sent to the registered mobile number as an SMS.
- A reset link will be sent to the registered email id.
- The new password can be set by clicking on this link.
JEE Main Admit Card 2024: Forgot Application Number?
In case, candidates forget their application number, then they can download JEE Main Hall Ticket by following these steps –
- On the official website, can can click on the JEE Main admit card download link.
- Then click on the “Forgot Application Number” link.
- Then enter your name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, state of eligibility, and security pin.
- The application number will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
Things to carry in the Examination Venue
Following are the things that a person has to carry for their JEE Mains Examination –
- JEE Main Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- A simple transparent ballpoint pen.
- Additional photographs to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
- Personal transparent water bottle.
- Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic
Things not to carry in the Examination Hall
Candidates are NOT allowed to carry the following things in the Examination Hall/Room –
- Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material),
- Eatables and Water (loose or packed),
- Mobile Phone/ Earphone/Microphone/ Pager, Calculators, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables,
- Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices
JEE Mains Admit Card: Instructions for Exam Day
Below are the guidelines for the JEE Mains Exam that a person must follow –
- Students must reach the JEE Exam center before the scheduled time to avoid last-minute rushes. Since there will be security checks, they should make sure they reach on time.
- Students must carry a JEE Mains admit card 2024 along with a valid ID proof at the exam center. Valid ID proofs include Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, School ID/ PAN/ Driving License, etc.
- Blank paper/rough sheets will be provided to the candidates inside the examination hall.
- Candidates suffering from diabetes will be allowed to carry eatables inside the examination hall however, they can’t carry packed food such as chocolate, sandwiches, etc.
- No electronic devices are allowed.
- Students will not be allowed to enter the examination center after the commences of test or leave before it ends
- PwD certificate for the candidates claiming relaxation.
