Mode of Examination क्या होगा?

• The Examination shall be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.

Pattern of Examination क्या होगा?

Paper	Key Details
Paper – 1	No of Questions 50 Marks 100
Paper – 2	No of Questions 100 Marks 200
Duration of Exam	03 hours (180 minutes) without any break. All the questions are compulsory

पेपर – 1 मे किन विषयो से प्रश्न पूछे जायेगे?

• Teaching/ Research Aptitude of the candidate.
• It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading
  comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness

पेपर – 2 मे  किन विषयो से प्रश्न पूछे जायेगे?

• This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge.

Medium of Question Paper क्या होगा?

• The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.
• Option of medium of Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the Candidate, while filling the Application Form online. The option once exercised cannot be changed.
• Candidates opting for Hindi medium in the Application Form will be given bilingual paper, but candidates opting for English medium will be given English version only.
• Candidates are required to answer in the medium as per option exercised in the
  Application Form.
• In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

Marking Scheme क्या होगा?

• Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
• For each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect response.
• No marks will be given for questions un-answered/un-attempted/marked for
  Review.
• To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct
  option.
• If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers would be given the credit.
• If a question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks (+2) will be awarded to only to those candidates who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.

FAQ’s – UGC NET Syllabus 2023

Will there be net exam in 2023?

UGC NET 2023 exam notification has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on December 29, 2022. The online UGC NET 2023 exam will be conducted in the month of February and March, 2023.

What is the syllabus of UGC NET first paper?

UGC NET Paper 1 tests the Teaching and Reasoning Ability, Research Aptitude, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking, and General Awareness of the candidate. While UGC NET Paper 2 Syllabus is based on the subject chosen by the candidate, it tests the candidate's in-depth knowledge and expertise in the respective subject.
