The CLAT 2025 exam will be held in offline mode. The question paper will consist of questions on Legal Aptitude, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. The duration of the CLAT examination is two hours. The Common Law Admission Test answer key and results will probably be released within a week of the exam.

CLAT Exam 2025: Apply Online From 15th July 2024

The group of National Law Universities (NLUs) has started the online application process for the CLAT 2025 from 15th July 2024. The actual examination will take place in December 2024. Registration usually opens in the first week of July, and you can fill out the CLAT application form on the @consortiumofnlus.ac.in website. The CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted on paper, which will include Legal Aptitude, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. You will have two hours to complete the exam. Answer keys and results are generally released within a week of the Common Law Admission Test.

Who is eligible for CLAT 2025?

Candidates wishing to appear for CLAT 2025 must fulfill the exam eligibility criteria set by the NLU Consortium. The admission criteria for NLUs and CLAT eligibility are largely the same. The eligibility criteria for CLAT 2025 are;

Educational Qualification:

  1. UG: CLAT 2025 Eligibility: Educational Qualification – Candidates should have passed the 12th class from a recognized board and institute. Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in class 12th, SC, ST candidates are eligible to obtain 40% marks in class 12th.
  2. PG: CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: LLM CLAT is a Post Graduate course. Candidates must have completed LLB Graduation from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). They should have secured at least 50% marks (45% in the case of SC and ST candidates) in their graduation.

CLAT Age Limit: 

The consortium has not prescribed any age limit to appear for the CLAT exam. Candidates can appear for the Common Law Admission Test at any age or any number of times.

CLAT Exam 2025 Registration

Registration for CLAT 2025 has started on 15th July 2024. Interested candidates can register online on the official consortium website – @consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Registration fee is Rs. 4,000 for general candidates and Rs. 3,500 for SC and ST candidates. Those who need the official CLAT previous year papers will have to pay an additional cost of Rs. 500 apart from the application fee.

CLAT Marking Scheme 2025

There will be a total of 120 questions in the CLAT UG exam and on each correct answer, the student will get 01 mark, making a total of 120 marks. Similarly, the CLAT PG exam will also have 120 questions, where 01 mark will be given for each correct answer, making a total of 120 marks for the exam. However, 0.25 marks will be deducted in both exams for each wrong answer.
