SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant has invited online applications from B.Tech / B.E./ Diploma/ ITI degree holder suitable and eligible candidates for filling up 356 vacant seat of Apprenticeship Training as Trade Apprentice, Technician Apprentice, Graduate Apprentices in various discipline / trade. SAIL Rourkela Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria –

Age Relaxation –Age Relaxation in upper limit will be given to only reserved categories as per guidelines of government of Odisha followed with applicable age relaxation.
Note – The Candidates seeking age relaxation as per Govt. Guidelines will be required to
submit certified copies of necessary certificate(s) at any subsequent stage of the selection process, as required by the SAIL.
Reservation and Relaxation –
Eligible Sundargarh District residents will be given preference over others. Eligible applications from other districts of Odisha & then rest of India may be considered, only if there are any vacancies left after the selection process which cannot be filled by Sundargarh District residents.
Reservation & Relaxation will be given to only reserved & Special categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWBD ) as per government of rules and regulations. Reservation guidelines as laid down by Government from time to time for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD etc. shall be followed. Candidates claiming reservation under reserved categories should submit certificate as per the Govt. Prescribed format issued from the competent certifying authority.
Selection Process –
Selection for engagement of Apprentices for training would be on merit basis, considering their percentage (%) of final marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualifications (B.E/B.Tech/ Diploma / ITI) as applicable to respective branch / trade.
