Reservation and Relaxation –
Reservation & Relaxation will be given to only reserved & Special categories as per government rules and regulations. Reservation guidelines as laid down by Government of India from time to time for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD etc. shall be followed. Candidates claiming reservation under reserved categories should submit certificate as per the Govt. Prescribed format issued from the competent certifying authority.

The final selection/recommendation of suitable candidates against the vacancies notified in this Advertisement shall be made by the Commission through the following processes.
(I) For the post of Inspector of Excise in the Office of the Commissioner of Excise.
Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.
1) General English – 100 marks
2) General Knowledge & Aptitude – 100 marks
3) Arithmetic (Class X level) – 100 Marks
Total – 300 marks
(II) For the post of Primary Investigator/Computer in the Office of Directorate of Economics & Statistics.
Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.
1) General English – 100 marks
2) General Knowledge & Aptitude – 100 marks
3) Economics/Mathematics/Statistics – 100 marks (HSSLC Level)
Total 300 marks
For the post of Field Assistant in the Office of Directorate of Economics & Statistic Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.
1) General English – 100 marks
2) General Knowledge – 100 marks
3) Mathematics (Class X level) – 100 marks
-Total 300 marks
Personal Interview –
Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test/ Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview. Ratio to be called for Personal Interview will be as decided by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission from time to time.
*** Only candidates who have produced all the required documents in original relating to their educations qualification, date of birth, caste, community and other certificates wherever required and prescribed by Rules will be deemed qualified to be called for Personal Interview.
