Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh conducted the State TET exam to determine the eligibility of individuals to teach in the state’s primary and upper elementary schools under the management including State Government, AP Model Schools, all welfare and society schools, Rural and Urban local bodies, Private aided/unaided schools etc.
Individuals who pass the AP TET Level 1 are qualified to teach in elementary schools (Classes 1st to 5th), and those who pass the AP TET Level 2 exam are qualified to teach in upper primary schools i.e. from classes 6th to 8th. If an individual qualifies for both papers, then he/she will be eligible to teach from classes 1st to 8th.
If anyone is not satisfied with their score and wants to improve then you can again apply for AP TET. There is no limitation on the number of attempts.

Weightage of APTET Result 2024
AP TET scores will be given 20% weightage in the ensuing Teacher recruitment of the state government. That means in the selection list 20% weightage is for the AP TET Score and 80% weightage will be for the written test in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT).
