Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has invited applications through only online mode from suitable and eligible Candidates for filling up the vacant situation of Short Service Commissioner (SSC) Medical Officer. Candidate should have Passed their final MBBS (Part -I & II) Examination in not more than two attempts and will have complete/ have completed their internship on or before 15 August 2024 and have qualified in the NEET PG (any time during the last two years i.e. 2022 & 2023). Civilian Doctor having a Post Graduation Degree will not be required to appear in the NEET PG again. Marks obtained by them in NEET PG Examination earlier will be taken into consideration. Applicants who have taken more than two chances to pass the Final MBBS (Part I & II) Examination are ineligible and hence should not apply for the same.
and The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council / NMC/ MCI. Post Graduate Degree holders recognized by State Medical Council /NBE/NMC can also apply. Only those Candidates who have completed completing their internship on or before 15 August 2024 can apply. |
For MBBS Degree holder Candidates –
Candidate’ s age should not be more than 30 years ( born on or after 02 January 1995 are eligible to apply for this Post)
For Post Graduate Degree holder Candidates – Candidate’ s age should not be more than 35 years ( born on or after 02 January 1990 are eligible to apply for this Post) |

(b) Following original documents are essentially required to be produced for
verification at the time of interview:-
(i) Matriculation Certificate (Class X)/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal
Corporation as a proof of name and date of birth (Born after 1992).
(ii) Aadhar Card.
(iii) Permanent Medical Registration Certificate.
(iv) Internship Completion Certificate.
(v) MBBS Degree Certificate, PG Degree Certificate.
(vi) Final MBBS (Pt I & II) Attempt Certificate or Transcript Certificate.
(vii) NEET PG entrance exam result sheet/ score card.
(vii) No Objection Certificate from present employer, if any.
(viii) NCC Certificate, if any.
(ix) National Board of Examination Certificate for Foreign Medical Graduates.
(x) Passport for Foreign Medical Graduates.
(xi) Gazette Notification or any other authority clearly highlighting your new
name, if there is any change in the name after Matriculation (Class X).
(xii) 10 Passport size photographs, photo identity proof and address proof.
